Biography

Ernie Wells (guitar/Vocals)

Ernie started playing gigs at the ripe old age of 12 and, well, you know the story. He has toured most of the US during his musical career. The late 70s were the west coast from LA to Alaska. During this time he was based out of Seattle where he had the opportunity to work with Stevie Wonder. Then it was back to Houston in the 80s, where he helped start the popular band “Rancho Bebop”. Next, it was out to California where he spent most of his time writing and working solo. During his music career he has opened for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Split Enz, Rita Coolidge and Robin Trower to name a few.
Currently, he owns Eighth Note Productions, a recording studio located in Houston, Texas. He has recorded such notable artists as Burt Bacharach, The Houston Symphony and La Mafia and has two Grammy nominations as an audio engineer.
Ernie is the leader and musical director of the band.
